Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Omega-3 fatty acids are essential eye nutrients. Ocuvite Adult 50+ formula contains 5 mg of Lutein versus the 4 mg found in 2 tablets of ICaps Eye Vitamin Lutein & Zeaxanthin formula. Additionally, Ocuvite Adult 50+ formula contains 250 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids, while ICaps Eye Vitamin Lutein & Zeaxanthin formula does not have any of this essential nutrient.
Can patients who are taking a standard multivitamin also take Ocuvite?
Yes. The unique high-potency combination of vitamins and minerals in Bausch + Lomb Ocuvite Adult 50+ eye vitamins is not available in standard multivitamins. Centrum Silver, for example, only contains 0.25 mg of Lutein (compared to 5 mg of Lutein in Ocuvite Adult 50+) and no Omega-3 fatty acids (compared to 250 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids in Ocuvite Adult 50+).
