Bausch & Lomb Launches Web-Based
Certification Training for Vision Shaping Treatment TM
ROCHESTER, N.Y. Bausch & Lomb has launched a web site for eye care professionals to receive online training and certification to fit Bausch & Lomb's Vision Shaping Treatment TM (VST) system for overnight orthokeratology in the specific lens designs of their choice.
The web site www.bausch.com/vst provides eye care professionals with an efficient and convenient certification program for Bausch & Lomb's VST process. The Company requires eye care professionals interested in fitting their patients with Vision Shaping Treatment process to receive this certification.
Bausch & Lomb's Vision Shaping Treatment is a system offering distinct ortho-k lens designs fitted empirically, using Ks and Rx, as well as lens designs that are fitted diagnostically or use topographical data and software. The various lens designs and their respective fitting protocols are intended to provide eye care professionals with a variety of ortho-k lens options to enhance the success of the corneal-shaping process for their patients.
Made of Boston©Equalens©II (oprifocon A) gas permeable material, these custom-made ortho-k lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea to reduce nearsightedness and low amounts of astigmatism, allowing for daylong, device-free vision. The Vision Shaping Treatment system designs currently offered include: BE Retainer, Contex OK E-System, DreamLens and Euclid Emerald.
For more information about the Vision Shaping Treatment certification program and a special free giveaway for the first 500 eye care professionals to complete the web-based certification, visit www.bausch.com/vst.
