Bausch & Lomb Named Tops in Diversity for Third Straight Year

FOR RELEASE THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 2006

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Bausch & Lomb's commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace has earned the global eye health company a place on the Top 50 Companies for Diversity list for the third straight year.

Bausch & Lomb is ranked No. 35, according to DiversityInc magazine, which conducts the national survey on corporate diversity. More than 250 corporations participated in this year's survey.

In a change from prior years, companies were evaluated on the basis of consistent strength in four categories: human capital, CEO commitment, corporate communications and supplier development.

"Inclusion in this year's list is a significant achievement for Bausch & Lomb," said Clayton Osborne, vice president - Human Resources. "The criteria for inclusion were more rigorous than ever.  And receiving this national recognition for the third consecutive year clearly shows our continued commitment to fostering a diverse work environment and the value we place on diversity.  At Bausch & Lomb, we are continually looking for ways to further improve our diversity efforts."

Details of the listings, the methodology and the diversity strengths of the winning companies, including Bausch & Lomb, will appear in the June issue of DiversityInc magazine.
