Bausch + Lomb Announces 2016 Elite Vendor Relationship with Vision Source

Bausch + Lomb Selected as Elite Vendor in Vision Source’s  Contact Lenses and Lens Care Categories

BRIDGEWATER, NJ, AND KINGWOOD, TX - Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, today announced a new partnership with Vision Source, North America’s largest network of independent optometrists, naming Bausch + Lomb as an elite vendor in its contact lens and lens care categories.

As part of the relationship, Vision Source will promote Bausch + Lomb’s products in addition to offering marketing programs, pricing discounts, and rebates to its members to help encourage their patients to upgrade to Bausch + Lomb eye care brands.

In the network’s contact lens category, Vision Source members will be offered Bausch + Lomb’s latest lens technologies, including Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® contact lenses, which were recently voted as the best new contact lens launch of 2015 by Vision Monday’s and 20/20 Magazine’s 7th annual EyeVote Readers’ Choice awards. The company’s Biotrue® ONEday contact lenses will also be available to members, which maintain more than 98% of their moisture throughout the day1, and are now available in myopia, hyperopia and a multifocal design.

Bausch + Lomb’s Biotrue® and renu® multi-purpose solutions for soft contact lenses, will also be available to members in the lens care product category, as well as the unique and innovative hydrogen peroxide solution, PeroxiClear®, and the Boston® solution line of products for cleaning gas-permeable contact lenses.

1.  Twenty-two subjects participated in a randomized, double masked, contralateral eye study to evaluate water loss of Biotrue ONEday, 1-Day Acuvue Moist, 1-Day Acuvue TruEye contact lenses. After 4, 8, 12, and 16 hours of wear, lenses were removed and immediately weighed (wet weight). The lenses were then completely dried and reweighed (dry wet). The percent water loss was then calculated for each lens from the wet and dry weights.
