Bausch + Lomb’s Biotrue® ONEday for Presbyopia Contact Lenses Expanded High Add Powers Available this August

Additional Powers Provide ECPs the Full Power Range of the Multifocal Lens for Patients

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, today announces the expansion of Biotrue® ONEday for Presbyopia (nesofilcon A) contact lenses with the addition of High Add power range from +6.00D to -9.00D (0.25D steps) this August. This addition will provide eye care practitioners the full power offering of Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia lenses for their multifocal patients.

Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses combine the bio-inspired material of Biotrue ONEday contact lenses with Bausch + Lomb’s 3-Zone Progressive™ optical design used in PureVision®2 multifocal contact lenses for Presbyopia. Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses are also the first daily disposable multifocal contact lens from the Biotrue® ONEday family of products, which are designed to work like the eye1,2 by matching the cornea’s water content and mimicking the lipid layer by using a surfactant-enriched lens surface to retain moisture and shape.3,4

“I’ve had excellent results following the simple fitting guide instructions for Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia contact lenses and I’ve found many of my patients to have great success after the initial lens selection,” said Dr. David Geffen, OD, from the Gordon-Weiss-Schanzlin Vision Institute in La Jolla, San Diego, CA. “My patients really appreciate being able to see at all three distances - up close, middle, and far away5 - especially when driving, reading and working at a computer. The lens has been a welcome addition in my practice and I look forward to fitting more of my patients in this excellent lens.”
