Resident Programs Supported by Bausch + Lomb
Bausch + Lomb has provided grants to cornea and contact lens residents attending the GSLS since its inception three years ago. The GSLS, sponsored by Contact Lens Spectrum and Wolters Kluwer Health, is an annual international educational symposium in Las Vegas, Nev., with a primary focus on specialty lenses. This year, Bausch + Lomb supported the attendance of 22 cornea and contact lens residents at GSLS by providing an unrestricted grant to cover registration fees.
In 2009, Bausch + Lomb also supported 21 cornea and contact lens residents by providing travel grants to attend the 2009 AAO meeting in Orlando. In addition, Bausch + Lomb supported the AAO Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies Symposium at the 2009 AAO annual meeting with an unrestricted grant. The mission of the Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies of the AAO is to foster professional growth and advocate excellence in patient care through leadership in education and research.
