FOR RELEASE MONDAY, MARCH 7, 2016
BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, continued its successful educational and training initiative for eye care professionals (ECPs), offering them the opportunity to experience and learn about the latest innovations in contact lens technology. The B+Lieve™ Innovation Summit took place from March 4-5, 2016, in Orlando, Florida, introducing more than 400 ECPs to the company’s newest innovation, Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® for Presbyopia contact lenses.
Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® for Presbyopia contact lenses are monthly replacement silicone hydrogel lenses that combine the company’s innovative MoistureSeal® technology, which delivers exceptional end-of-day comfort1, with the 3-Zone Progressive™ design found in Biotrue® ONEday for Presbyopia daily disposable contact lenses. The combination of these advanced proprietary technologies provides presbyopic patients exceptional comfort and outstanding vision at near, intermediate, and distance1 while also providing ECPs the convenience of easy and predictable lens fitting.1,2
At the event, ECPs joined their peers in:
Learning about the 3-Zone Progressive™ design from Bausch + Lomb scientists
Hearing from other ECPs who have successfully incorporated Bausch + Lomb’s innovative MoistureSeal® technology and 3-Zone Progressive™ design in their practices
Participating in training sessions to learn how to fit Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® for Presbyopia contact lenses in accordance with the simplified fitting guide
Experiencing the exceptional comfort and easy-to-fit lens for themselves

“Continued innovation is one of the pillars of our business and as our new technologies evolve and expand they will continue to fuel what we offer patients today and into the future,” said Mark McKenna, senior vice president and general manager, U.S. Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb. “The feedback and insight that we’ve received from ECPs during our past B+Lieve™ events is invaluable and allows us to continue to develop and improve upon our latest innovations. We were thrilled to share the science behind the creation of
Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® for Presbyopia contact lenses at the B+Lieve Innovation Summit, so that ECPs can continue to offer the latest in lens technology to their presbyopic patients.”
The 3-Zone Progressive™ design utilized in the new Bausch + Lomb ULTRA® for Presbyopia contact lenses also allows ECPs to achieve an easy, predictable fit across all powers and from patient to patient through consistent power profile across the range of powers.1,2 The combination of the consistency, the simplified fitting guide, and the ability to fit the presbyopic patient population with just two add powers allows ECPs to streamline the fitting process.1,2
