SAN DIMAS, Calif. —Bausch & Lomb today announced the formation of a focused team of retinal products representatives for the United States market, who will provide best-in-class sales support to surgeons for the company’s extensive portfolio of retina products.
This dedicated retina sales team will support the Millennium™ Microsurgical System and associated products, Storz® vitreoretinal instruments, Retisert® and Vitrasert® sustained drug delivery implants, and PreserVision® eye vitamin and mineral supplement. The team’s efforts will be enhanced by vitreoretinal specialists that will provide additional overlapping technical and clinical expertise to Bausch & Lomb vitreoretinal customers.
Edward Kennedy, a 14-year contributor to the growth of Bausch & Lomb’s U.S. surgical business, has been appointed director of retina to lead this new organization. “With this increased focus, Bausch & Lomb is giving itself the opportunity to not only compete but win in all aspects of the growing retina market,” said Mr. Kennedy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Tennessee.
