Six New Parameters Brings Total Offering to +6.00D to -12.00D
BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Oct. 16, 2019 – Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, today announced the U.S. launch of expanded parameters for Biotrue® ONEday daily disposable contact lenses. The expansion will add six new parameters (-9.50D, -10.00D, -10.50D, -11.00D, -11.50D and -12.00D), bringing the total offering to +6.00D to -12.00D. With this extended range, eye care professionals can provide even more of their patients with the lens that has the most moisture.1
“This expansion of our Biotrue® ONEday lenses reflects the increasing demand for daily disposable lenses by patients who are seeking convenience to accommodate their busy lifestyles and enjoy wearing comfortable, fresh new lenses every day,” said John Ferris, general manager, U.S. Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb. “This is another example of how we continue to invest in our contact lens offerings to enable eye care professionals to meet the demanding visual needs of patients today.”
Biotrue® ONEday lenses contain the same water content as the natural eye and start and end the day with more moisture than any other contact lens. The contact lenses provide all-day comfort, as well as UVA/UVB protection to help protect the eyes from sun damage.*
“Biotrue® ONEday lenses offer an excellent combination of product features that I always look for in a contact lens - health, vision, comfort and affordability,” said Mile Brujic, O.D., Premier Vision Group, Bowling Green, OH. “Because this lens delivers on all of these factors, I routinely recommend Biotrue® ONEday lenses for my patients who face a variety of visual challenges and need a high performing lens. I look forward to providing even more of my patients the many benefits these lenses offer.”

*WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear, such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses, because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. The effectiveness of wearing UV-absorbing contact lenses in preventing or reducing the incidence of ocular disorders associated with exposure to UV light has not been established at this time. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders.
